Port Of Orillia - TreeFort
We had the opportunity during my integrated marketing class to work with the Orillia Chamber of Commerce to work on potential campaigns for the Port of Orillia. As I was tasked with in my group to work on the creative for my group, I created 4 posters; one to represent each event as well as one about the port opening. We found the logo to be outdated and I took it in my hands to design a new one using our predetermined colour palette. We had an idea for a radio ad to promote one of their events, the Pirate Party.I had a team help me write the script then it was up to me to record and master that radio ad. You can listen to the ad below. Even though my team did not win, I believe there was a tremendous amount of experience gained that I used in future projects.

Copywriting Class
In my second semester, I had a copywriting course which allowed me to get more creative reps in. There were many different ways I explored through the course, including making ads for simple products or a big brand, creating landing pages, email newsletters, and other projects like a blog and a radio ad (both listed below for viewing).

Advanced Design Class
My third semester came with advanced design, I spent my time honing my skills through several projects. We started with creating ourselves as Simpsons characters, which gave me a chance to work on illustrating. There were several other projects like creating a tourism map, a book cover, a psa poster and reconstructing a house. We also had the opportunity to work with Bridget’s Bunnies on a TreeFort, which you can view here.
24 BlueMTN - TreeFort
During my social media course in third semester, we were given the opportunity to work on a social media campaign for 24BlueMTN through the TreeFort program. I was once again tasked with creating the creative for my team. I created an Instagram carousel, a Facebook ad, Instagram story, as well as a TikTok ad. This was an excellent learning opportunity as I was able to learn, and apply, some Adobe After Effects knowledge. Although my team was not chosen, it was an excellent experience that can be put to use for years to come.

Bridget’s Bunnies - TreeFort
In my advanced design course we had a TreeFort project to come up with new branding for Bridget’s Bunnies. This was my first time coming up with full brand guidelines, which was an amazing experience. A lot of thought went into designing what would be an appropriate logo for Bridget’s Bunnies. It was a fun brain experiment to come with the fonts and colour for this project. I felt as if I hit my stride during this project and became a lot more confident in my work. In the end we put all the work together in a slide deck that can be viewed here.

Personal Projects
A lot of my personal projects revolve around music or basketball. I enjoy making covers for singles/albums, taking the music to inspire the visuals I make. It started off with me needing covers for downloaded music and turned into something I just do for fun. My graphic design journey really started with basketball, as I started by making jersey swaps on some janky app that I had on my Ipad. I’ve recently been making a lot of posters as I wanted to make own for my dorm room. I love having this as my outlet for the things I enjoy, sometimes I just enjoy making something silly without it having any real purpose other than being fun to look at.
Logos
Logos are something I love to design, wordmarks more specifically. It started when I made one for my team’s agency, Allure Media, for the Port of Orillia TreeFort project. I would end up creating several for similar situations. Creating a few personal ones along the way, I never miss an opportunity to work on my logo design skills. It’s all very important to me, the colours, the font, I strive to give a feel to each logo I make.
